Cooperative health insurance management training
This training enables Health facilities to gain skills needed in managing cooperative health insurance at their health facilities for them to increase membership while at the same time increasing their cost recovery or surplus.
Provider support supervision
This is a follow-up done by Uganda HealthPartners Cooperative at least two weeks after the cooperative health insurance management training to ensure that the care provider fully prepares before they can start offering care to members. This entails 4 support supervision visits coming after every two weeks after the training. The 7 topics discussed during support supervisions include the Memorandum of understanding, IDs/passbook systems, Sports checks, Provider insurance management files, staff explaining how cooperative health insurance works and non-members can see insurance is available at the health facility.


Provider Data review meetings.
This is a meeting with healthcare providers that is recommended by UHPC to be conducted quarterly. Here UHPC discusses data for the previous quarter with the care provider to identify any gaps, and lessons learned, and come up with solutions to close these gaps so that the healthcare provider can increase membership and their cost recovery.
Premium costing training
This is a training offered by UHPC to the care provider to enable care providers to determine the recommended premiums charges to cooperative members based on data from the previous quarters. Here, Data from the administrative cost, the number of members who have prepaid premiums and the treatment cost play a big role in determining the recommended premium during the premium costing training.
